Kalyana Lakshmi Scheme is beneficial for the women of Telangana state. Under this scheme, the government is going to provide financial help for the marriage of the girls by providing the amount directly to the bank account of their mothers.

This scheme will make the mothers self-reliant for the marriage of their beloved daughter. The benefits will transfer before the marriage of the girl child. This scheme is very helpful for many people of Telangana and the marriage of daughters will take place without any dispute regarding the property.

Objective Of the Kalyana Lakshmi Scheme

The motive of the government behind starting this scheme is to stop the early marriage concepts. The benefits will be given only to those brides-to-be who attain the age of 18 years. Moreover, to make women’s (mothers) self-reliant. This scheme will help the girls belonging to SC/ ST/ EWS/ Minority community financially for their marriage.

Components of the Kalyana Lakshmi Scheme

This scheme has two major components announced by the Chief Minister of Telangana state. The components are:-

  • Kalyana Laxmi: Under this only Hindu minorities below the poverty line will receive the benefits.
  • Shaadi Mubarak: Under this, the Muslim community bride will receive the benefits.

Benefits/Features Of the Kalyana Lakshmi Scheme

  • The scheme is beneficial for SC/ST/BC/EBC girls.
  • The scheme was launched in the year 2014.
  • This scheme will make women independent.
  • This scheme will stop child marriage.
  • One-time financial assistance of Rs 1,00,116/- will be given.
  • The amount will be given at the time of marriage of the girl.
  • The amount will be given to the mothers of the bride directly in their bank accounts.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Appellant must be a permanent resident of Telangana state
  • Agr of the bride must not be less than 18 years
  • Applicant must belong to SC/ST/BC/EBC category
  • The annual income of the applicant’s family must not be more than mentioned below
    • For Kalyana Laxmi-
      • SC Rs.2,00,000/-
      • ST Rs.2,00,000/-
      • BC/EBC:
        • Urban- Rs.2,00,000/-
        • Rural- Rs.1,50,000/-
    • For Shaadi Mubarak- Rs.2,00,000/-

  • First marriage certificate
  • VRO panchayat secretary approval certificate
  • Bride’s photo
  • Bride’s age group certificate
  • Bride’s scan Aadhar card
  • The bride’s mothers scanned her Aadhar card
  • Bridegroom’s scan Aadhar card
  • Bride’s mother scanned a copy of the passbook

Kalyana Lakshmi Scheme 2023 Application Procedure

  • To apply you have to visit the official website of the ePASS
  • From the homepage of the portal, go to the Kalyana Lakshmi Shaadi Mubarak option
  • Now you have to choose the registration option given in front of Kalyana Lakshmi if you belong to a Hindu family and click on the registration option given in front of Shaadi Mubarak if belong to a Muslim family
  • The registration form will open on the computer screen of the page
  • Enter all the asked information in the form like
    • Name
    • Date of birth
    • Qualification
    • Father name
    • Caste
    • Aadhar number
    • Phone number etc.
  • Complete all the application forms and review the details
  • Enter the capture code shown in the image on the screen and press submit button
  • By following these steps you will be able to submit your application

Procedure To Print Application or Check Status

  • From the homepage of the portal, go to the Kalyana Lakshmi Shaadi Mubarak option
  • Now you have to choose the print/status option given in front of Kalyana Lakshmi if you belong to Hindu family and click on the Print/status option given in front of Shaadi Mubarak if belong to Muslim family
  • A new page will open on the computer screen
  • Enter bride UID (Aadhar number) and phone number
  • Hit the get status and print button
  • As you click the status of the application form the form will open on the screen
  • You can check the status and if desire to take a print out then give the print command

Process To Edit/Update Application 

  • To make an edit/ update the application, you have to visit the official website of the ePASS
  • From the homepage of the portal, go to the Kalyana Lakshmi Shaadi Mubarak option
  • Now you have to choose the edit/ update option given in front of Kalyana Lakshmi if you belong to Hindu family and click on the edit/update option given in front of Shaadi Mubarak if belong to Muslim family
  • A new page will open on the computer screen
  • Enter your marriage Id and phone number in the given blank
  • Press the get detail option and information will appear on the screen
  • You can make changes in the application and then press submit button to submit it

Procedure To File Grievance 

  • From the homepage of the portal, go to the Grievance redressal link
  • A new page will open on the screen where you have to choose new grievance registration
  • Registration form will open on the screen where you need to enter
    • Scheme name
    • Grievance type
    • Application ID
    • Department
    • Upload relevant document
    • Write your grievance
  • Hit on the submit button to submit the application

Process To Check Grievance Status

  • From the homepage of the portal, go to the Grievance Redressal link
  • A new page will open on the screen where you have to choose to check your grievance status
  • A new page will open on the screen, enter your grievance ID
  • Press track my grievance button and your grave status will show on the screen

Procedure To Submit Feedback

  • From homepage of the portal, go to the feedback option
  • A new page will open on the screen where you have to enter your application ID, feedback type and description
  • Press submit button to submit your feedback
