Type of Punjab Pension Scheme

Old Age PensionOld age pension will be given to the senior citizens. All those whose age is above 58 years for women and above 65 years for men will be considered senior citizens.
Widow/ Destitute Woman PensionWidows and destitute women whose age is above 30 years and below 58 years will be benefited under this scheme.
Disabled Person PensionFinancial assistance will be given to all those who are suffering from disabilities like blind handicapped deaf or dumb and mentally retarded people.
Dependent Children PensionFinancial assistance to the dependent children will be given up to the age of 21 years whose mother/father or both have passed away or parents are regularly absent from home or have become physically or mentally incapable to look after him/her.
Indira Gandhi National old age pension schemeThis pension scheme is for people whose age is above them 60 years and must come under the BPL category according to the social economic caste census 2011.
Indira Gandhi National widow pension schemeThis pension scheme is for women whose age is above 40 years. Applicants must come under the BPL category according to the social economics cast census 2011
